Distribution Drive signs Wencar, Inc. to represent the “BioWillie” brand of biodiesel in the south Texas market.
Wednesday, December 7, 2005
Distribution Drive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Earth Biofuels, Inc. (OTCBB: EBOF - News) today announced the formation of a marketing partnership with Wencar, Inc. Wencar, Inc., a Texas based company, supplies gas station and truck stop convenience stores with their retail supply products, these items include snacks, cigarettes, phone cards and the like.
Representing Willie Nelson’s biodiesel is a natural extension to the Wencar product catalog and is the company’s first move into the fuel market. Wencar’s Vice President, Keith Meschi , stated “Carrying the “BioWillie” brand is a profitable business opportunity for a gas station retailer or truck stop operator as the margins are good and the “BioWillie” brand enables the operator to differentiate their location from their competitors selling regular diesel.”
Willie Nelson’s biodiesel, “BioWillie” is a high quality, exclusively branded diesel fuel replacement that is made in America and grown by American family farmers. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel that reduces diesel engine emissions and America’s dependence of imported sources of oil.
Distribution Drive is a distributor of BioWillie, supplying the product to gas stations and trucks stops. Distribution Drive blends “BioWillie” with regular diesel fuel at a 20% ratio of biodiesel to petro-diesel, creating a B20 blend of biodiesel. Distribution Drive’s President, Peter Bell, stated “We are very excited about this relationship with Wencar as it enables us to get the message that the BioWillie brand is available in south Texas to the decision makers of the convenience store and truck stop owners throughout the south Texas region”.
The BioWillie brand of biodiesel is backed by a tremendous marketing and word of mouth effort that is getting the word out about biodiesel to the end users. However, out of the 187,000 gas stations in America, only 650 of them carry biodiesel. The marketing partnership announced to day with Wencar will help close that gap in south Texas so end users can more readily find biodiesel at a gas stations and truck stops around the region.
